In this privacy statement, we inform you about how your personal data is collected and processed when you visit our website. By personal data, we mean all information that can be attributed to a specific person or that contributes to identifying a person. This includes, for example, name, address, and date of birth, but also donations, conclusions about interests, IP addresses, or activities during the visit of websites.
We process the personal data you provide to us in order to inform you, if you are a member of Kids Trip, about our projects, to correctly record your donations, to send you our newsletter, to respond to your request, to register your participation in events or excursions, or to process your order on our shop.
Principles
The websites of Kids Trip Swiss Sàrl, its sections, and its centers (hereinafter referred to as “Kids Trip Swiss Sàrl”) are intended for people in Switzerland. People living abroad are welcome to visit our websites, but they are not our target audience. The websites of Kids Trip Swiss are subject to Swiss data protection law, in particular the Federal Data Protection Act (hereinafter FADP) and the Telecommunications Act (TCA).
Access to our websites is secured via transport layer encryption, and personal data that you provide to us, for example through a contact form, is transmitted in encrypted form through a secure connection (SSL/TLS).
We regularly organize, either ourselves or in collaboration with partners, activities and excursions. Information provided when registering on the website or by email is stored on our server.
Children and young people:
Our services are not only aimed at adults but also at children and young people to whom we offer, for example, activities. Persons under the age of 18 should not provide us with personal data without the consent of their parents or legal guardians.
Collection of personal data when visiting our websites
Each time you visit one of our websites, certain automated data from your device is collected and stored in what are called server log files. The following data is collected:
- IP address, date and time of the request;
- time zone difference from GMT;
- content of the request (specific page);
- access status / HTTPS status code;
- amount of data transferred;
- website from which the request originates;
- web browser;
- operating system and interface, language and version of the browser.
On the one hand, this data helps to simplify and make your use of the website more pleasant. For example, it enables the correct display of our website on your device or in your browser. On the other hand, it helps us to know which information and services you particularly appreciate as a user and where we can improve. Since we have activated IP address anonymization on this website, no conclusions about your person can be drawn.
Use of cookies
We use “cookies” on our websites that allow us to identify your browser or device. A cookie is a small file that is automatically stored by the web browser on your computer or mobile device when you visit our website. This does not allow us to know who you are. To provide you with an optimal service, we use both “session cookies” and “persistent cookies.”
Data stored in session cookies allows you to use our websites without restrictions. Session cookies are deleted after each of your visits to our websites. Persistent cookies, on the other hand, store user settings and other information for a longer period of time and optimize the use of our websites beyond the current visit. Persistent cookies also help us better understand how you use our services and content.
You can disable cookies in your browser (details of this procedure are available in your browser’s menu bar under “help”). If you disable cookies, we cannot guarantee that all features (e.g., language selection) will be available without restriction.
Contact form and other forms
Our websites contain forms that you can use to ask questions electronically, participate in events, place orders in our shop, or make donations, for example. The data requested depends on the purpose of each form. We collect the data you provide in the relevant forms (e.g., name, email address, phone number). When you submit the form, the system also records your IP address as well as the date and time of submission. This data helps prevent misuse of our contact form.
Newsletter
To send and analyze our newsletter, we need your contact information (such as your name, email address, and country). This allows us to identify which information is of interest to you and thus improve our offer. We use the Mailchimp service, whose headquarters and branches are located in the United States (address: The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA). The servers are also located in the United States. This means that the data we process may be transmitted, stored, or processed in the United States. Security measures are taken in line with current legal provisions to ensure adequate protection of all personal data transmitted to the United States from Switzerland, the United Kingdom, or the EEA. Web analysis, monitoring, and optimization
Coverage analysis allows us, for example, to know when and how the content and functions of our websites are most often used or which areas should be improved. Within the EU member states and other countries that have signed the EEA Agreement, this option requires Google to shorten your IP address before transmitting it to the United States. The IP address transmitted by your browser within Google Analytics will therefore not be combined with other Google data.
