General terms of use and cookie policies

In this data protection declaration, we inform you about how your personal data is collected and processed when you visit our website. By personal data we mean all information that can be assigned to a specific person or that contributes to the identification of a person. These include, for example, name, address and date of birth, but also donations, conclusions about interests, IP addresses or activities when visiting websites.

We process the personal data you have provided to us in order to inform you, in the event that you are a member of Kids Trips about our projects, to correctly enter your donations, to send you our newsletter, to respond to your request, to register your participation in events or excursions, or to process your order on our shop.

Principles

The websites of Kids Trip , its sections and its centers (hereinafter referred to as "Kids Trip») are aimed at people in Switzerland. People living abroad are welcome on our web pages, but they are not our target audience. The Kids Trip websites are subject to Swiss data protection law, in particular the Federal Data Protection Act (hereinafter LPD) and the Telecommunications Act (LTC).

Access to our web pages is via a transport layer encryption, and the personal data that you provide to us, for example via a contact form, are transmitted to us encrypted by a secure connection (SSL/TLS).

We regularly organize, ourselves or in collaboration with partners, activities and excursions. The information made available when registering on the website or by email is stored on our server.

Children and young people:

our offers are not only aimed at adults but also at children and young people to whom we offer activities, for example. Persons under the age of 18 should not transmit personal data to us without the authorization of their parents or legal guardians.

Collection of personal data when visiting our websites

Each time you visit one of our websites, certain automated data from your device is collected and stored in so-called server log files. The following data is collected:

  • IP address, date and time of the request;
  • time zone difference from GMT;
  • content of the request (concrete page);
  • access status / HTTPS status code;
  • amount of data transmitted;
  • website from which the request originated;
  • Web browser;
  • operating system and interface, language and browser version.

On the one hand, these data serve to simplify and make your use of the website more pleasant. They allow, for example, a correct display of our website on your device or in your browser. On the other hand, they help us, for example, to know which information and offers you particularly appreciate as a user and where we can improve further. Since we have activated the IP anonymization function on this website, no conclusions about your person can be drawn.

Use of cookies

We use "cookies" on our websites to identify your browser or device. A cookie is a small file that is automatically saved by the internet browser used on your computer or mobile device when you visit our website. This does not allow us to know who you are. In order to offer you an optimal service, we use both "session cookies" and "permanent cookies".

The data stored in session cookies allow you to use our web pages without restriction. Session cookies are deleted after each of your visits to our websites. Permanent cookies, on the other hand, save user settings and other information for longer and optimize the use of our web pages beyond the current visit. Permanent cookies also help us better understand how you use our services and content.

You can disable cookies in your browser (details of this procedure are available in your browser's menu bar, under "help"). If you disable cookies, we cannot guarantee that all features (eg language selection) will be available without restriction.

Contact form and other forms

There are forms on our websites that you can use to ask questions electronically, participate in events, place orders on our shop or make donations, for example. The data requested depends on the purpose of each form. We collect the data that you provide to us in the forms in question (eg name, email address, telephone number). When you submit the form, the system also logs your IP address and the date and time of submission. This data helps prevent misuse of our contact form.

Newsletter

For the dispatch and analysis of our newsletter, we need your contact information (such as your name, e-mail address and country). This allows us to identify which information is of interest to you and thus to improve our offer. We use the Mailchimp service, whose headquarters and branches are in the United States (address: The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA). The servers are also located in the United States. This means that the data we process may be transmitted, stored or processed in the United States. Security measures are taken in harmony with the legal provisions in force in order to guarantee adequate protection of all personal data which is transmitted to the United States from Switzerland, the United Kingdom or the EEA. You have the possibility at any time to refuse the sending of the newsletter and to unsubscribe from it. All you have to do is click on the link at the end of each newsletter and unsubscribe.

Web analysis, monitoring and optimization

The coverage analysis allows us, for example, to know when and how the contents and functions of our websites are most often used or which areas should be improved. The services used provide us with information about our visitors, their behavior and interests, or even demographic data such as age or gender. We have this data in anonymized form only and users are not personally identified. We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. Within member states of the European Union and other countries that have ratified the Agreement on the European Economic Area, this option requires Google to shorten your IP address before transmitting it to the United States. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is therefore not merged with other Google data.
